Each Marquis suite features a collection of artwork inspired by the character of the Marquis of Montcalm with references to nobility, adventure, and his role as a naval commander.
Above the bed, guests sleep under a dreamy still-life painting by American artist Jake Messing. Beside the bed hangs a signature sleep poem, illustrated by Swedish artist Petra Börner. These poems were commissioned through a Call to Writers launched in partnership with Goldsmiths, University of London’s MA course for Creative Writing. They are written by poets Josh Geffin and Ese Erheriene.
Additional artwork includes pieces collected from brocantes in France, Belgium, and the UK.
